BNZ Kiwi Hoops is Basketball New Zealand’s national basketball programme for tamariki. It uses basketball activities and games-based learning to support tamariki to develop skills and confidence and grow their love for the game.
The programme also provides best practice tools and resources for coaches, teachers, parents, volunteers, and administrators to ensure all tamariki can play basketball in a safe and enjoyable environment.
To ensure the programme is delivering the right experiences for participants, there are five ways that BNZ Kiwi Hoops Programmes are delivered across the country.
At Northland Basketball we work together with our sub-associations to offer the following BNZ Kiwi Hoops Programmes:
- In-school programmes
- Community programmes
- Holiday programmes
- Activation sessions (one-offs)
- Organised Competition
