Selection Criteria

Selection Philosophy

Selection for a representative team is a privilege and an opportunity, not an entitlement.

Selection panels may consider a range of factors including:

  • Basketball skills and fundamentals
  • Decision-making and game understanding
  • Effort and competitiveness
  • Coachability and willingness to learn
  • Attitude and behaviour
  • Commitment to training and competition
  • Team balance and positional requirements

Selection decisions are made with the goal of creating an environment that best supports both team performance and athlete development.
